Hey, i've got a GF# TI200... i read about OC'ing it, rather how to unlock the feature... i edited the registry with "coolbits" to use nvidias normal clock and mem adjusting feature in properties... now i find out my stuff was set at 175 clock, and 400 mem... is this normal? what could i still safely increase things to?

175 clock 400 mem sounds about right for a GF3 Ti200. It's the same as mines. How high you can oc it depends on how good the cooling in your case it. You should push the speed up by a small amount and test it to see if it's stability at that speed. Just repeat this process till you hit the upper limit and then back down a step or so to leave it some breathing room.

hah what a consquidence i just did the same thing, and it also shows 175 for core and 400 for memory, mine is a visiontek geforce 3 ti200. i heard to just keep increasing it by 10 each one and test it and when you start getting artificats in 3d2001 or whatever benchmark you use, or games, then back it down some. good to get some cooling too, like a blue orb or something.

The reason you are all seeing it running @ 175/400 is because that's the stock speed of the Ti200!!! (The name comes from the ram running @ 200 MHz DDR = 400 MHz ... to make the high-end GF3 sound more impressive they called it the Ti500 after the fact that its memory runs @ 250 MHz DDR = 500 MHz . I guess the name "GF3 Ti250" just didnt sound like that much of an improvement and worth the money). Most GF3 Ti200's use ram rated to run @ 500 MHz (4.0 or 3.8 ns I believe) so you should be able to hit 500 MHz memory speed +/- 25 MHz pretty easily. The core is a lot more dependent on how good the retail cooler is. 210-240 + is quite realistic.

I'm currently running an MSI GF3 Ti200 @ 220/500 with no problems. It runs @ 230/520 without problems also but I like to back it off some from the highest it runs stably.
