Ok so I skipped Vista & 7....should I download Win 8?

When can I upgrade from XP? It was the best operating system in the history of computing.

Im afraid to download Win 8 because I dont want to get Vista'd again.

Why cant all operating systems be as great as XP?

What? XP is inferior even to Vista. I'd shoot myself if I still had to use that outdated POS.

D:

7 is where its at. Vista a modern day windows ME. Sure, it works great for some, horribly for others, but it still worth skipping over in the OS upgrade cycle.

Win 7 is awesome. Win Xp bows before it's greatness. Vista should just stay in a dungeon somewhere

XP is the godfather of all that is good in any OS before or after its 2001 release.

I *STILL* use XP on my desktop & laptop.

XP will not yield.

XP will not bow down.

XP will not go quietly in the night.

They will have to pry XP from my cold, dead hard drive. :colbert:

7 > Vista > XP.

XP is an outdated POS. Only people who think they are good with technology and think they are being geeky still use it, or people so ignorant and stubborn they don't want to change, or businesses.

People who think "VISTA SUX" and "WINDOWS 7 IS GUD" are retarded. They're the same fucking thing besides some minor interface changes.

I do have Windows 7 (get it for free from my school). I do not think it's worth paying more than $10 to upgrade over Vista from.

Both are miles better than XP.

7 usually runs better (at least in my experience) on the same hardware than Vista does (assuming that the hardware isn't grossly over/underpowered for either). 7 ran better on my old MacBook, and it runs better on my friend's Compaq workstation laptop.

Both are better than XP for any number of reasons.

I held on to XP for many years when everyone else was moving to Vista. I read the articles about Vista and the many problems with compatibility. All the while me and my XP were running strong without problems. I had my XP tweaked to run fast with no more blue screens of death. When Windows 7 came out, I felt it was just another Vista fad. I was getting my work done, I had no need for change. Month by month went by and I'm hearing about the faster Operating System from Windows 7. I still have no real reason to change, as why mess with something that has no problems. I know XP inside and out. Now I hear about a new Windows 8. Why would they change if Windows 7 is so great? What is wrong with windows 7 to cause a change? I can still buy Windows 7 in the store. My XP has not failed me, it continues to get my work done. I have literally no wait time in my computer work that a faster computer or operating system would better me. Why should I change from XP? Because some geekhead said so? I should risk my profitable business by changing all my computers over to some other operating system because some gamer believes XP is inferior to Vista, Window 7 and perhaps Window 8? I learned an old lesson a long time ago: If its not broke and working good, leave it alone.

This. The only bad part about Vista really was manafacturer drivers. Drivers are no longer and issue and Vista became good after SP1. 7 is a ton better than XP ever was. I use XP every day at work and 7 at home and how much has changed.

I absolutely hate using XP at this point. It's a outdated piece of crap that should have died a long time ago.

Heck even on my old netbook 7 performed better than Xp.

If you arent booting off of a SSD and using 64 bit Win7, you probably have no idea what you are talking about.

Also: Total troll

BTW, new PC games are going to stop including XP support.
