Ok, i am really fuming right now, and wanted to vetn, thanks goooodness for ATOT! 
so here's my story, if any of you care to read it.
6 months ago i accepts a measly position working for the DEP in CT. When i was hired there was a hiring freeze on all full time positions, basically exempting me from any sorts of benefits, overtime, and or paid holidays/time off. needless to say i took this position out of desperation. the pay is 2/3 of what i think i deserve, and the people suck, i mean its "working for the state"!! so when i was hired they informed me of my title, General Worker. basically, because there was a hiring freeze in CT for state workers, they made "essential worker" positions to be filled and entitled them to "Seasonal" & "General worker". Seasonal's can only work 6 months, while general workers can work indefinitely. because seasonals can only work for 6 months they get paid more than general workers. now....i was hired as a general worker, and i thought i was until 3 weeks agho when i came back from my first week of school. see i took out a 12 G loan to get my MCSE certification to better myself and my career, knowing that ill have the time off here, and still work in between classes. or so my boss told me!!!
so i find out that my "general worker" title was never "attached" to me, and that ive been a seasonal worker the whole time....i ask,
"Ok, so why haven't i been paid like a seasonal?"
"Well the budget is tight right now (*cough*bullshit/surplus*cough*) and we cant justify more money for you."
"Ok, so what about you promising me a job after July 1?(new fiscal year for the State)"
"Ummmm...well, thier not looking at employees as a matter of what they actually do. They're just seeing "Seasonal" "
"Ohh, ok so im fired as of July 1?"
"Well, dont expect to be here after July !"
"!!!!"
"Sorry..."
So this was three weeks ago and since then i have been lied to many times. i was told that i had a chance to stay and that it wont be aproblem and that my boss was getting the papaer work done to get me extended and yada yada yada.
Now, here i am today while my boss has his day off (9day work period). i was axiously awaiting his voice mail that he promised last night before i left work, telling me the actual outcome of his efforts, but nothing!!! i only asked the man to do his job and try to keep me on, as his dept is understaffed as is, and now more so! uuuuggghhhhhh. well i had to cancel my CCNA class to get enough money to live through the next few months because i have three weeks left of schoiol intermitenly during July and August! no company will want to hire me knowing this! im screwed for the next few months, and im honestly thining about legal actiosn here as they promised one position and i never ended up with it!
