OK, now I'm mad.

On a completely unrelated topic: Both Lowes and Home Depot have a VERY bad habit of putting out summer shit way too god damn early.
Its February. We are expecting snow this weekend. You do NOT need 200 gas powered grills filling up your front lot.
Thats not an exaggeration. There were at least 200 of them. Possibly more. And inside on the front left corner of the store were about 10 thousand potted plants and all the lawn mowers and weed eaters were set up too.

Salt for eating, or for sidewalks?

Lots of stores do this, hope you bought your winter coat in September, because they'll already have swimsuits out in February!

I hate this too! I missed out my first time buying a snow blower because we had a huge snow storm and I was just fed up of shoveling and said screw it, buying a snow blower. Go to Home Depot and they're selling lawnmowers in freaking middle of winter! Had to wait until July so I can get a snowblower but then I procrastinated and said I'll wait until the first snow... again, sold out and not getting any more for the season.

They seem to have shifted all the seasons by like 3-4 months lol. I sometimes see Halloween stuff at stores in summer and my train of thought is "oh I guess they still have left over from last year... wait, that's for this year?".

There were 100s of bags of salt of all the different flavors at Lowes in CT last week. You need to move to a 1% state.

They put Halloween stuff out in August now, and I've even seen it as early as late July 😕

I had a grocery list. I went to the store after work and actually couldn't find many of the main items I wanted. Some of the shit was crazy. I started packing lunches to save money and I paid almost 5 bucks for a bag of chips, 2.50 for a loaf of decent bread and 6 bucks for lunch meat. 8.99 for chuck and 6 bucks a pound for hamburger.

This country is fucked.

I cant believe people voted for this shit.

People not getting vaccinated or not taking the pandemic seriously, against the advice of this administration, people getting sick, helping to cause supply chain issues, that are also worldwide, beyond our control, you do you.

70 plus million people voted for a piece of Filth named Trump, that's a much bigger problem than anything going on right now. A pandemic three times worse as covid would still be better than all those Trump supporters.

So far I have not seen too many empty shelves in my area, but I think this will vary a lot per area or even per store. Saw a post on our local FB page that Walmart was out of a lot of stuff, but then other grocery stores had it.

Either way if there is one thing I learned in the past 2 years is how fragile our supply chain is. I have gotten better about stocking up on stuff so I rely less on it. I have like 10 toilet paper packages now in storage. I buy 1-2 every now and then when I'm doing groceries. Especially if I'm only there for like 1 thing, to make the trip worthwhile I may grab a bunch of canned food, or TP or something. Stuff that I know keeps for long and that I will use.

Lunch meat is disgusting at any price.
