OK...new to i7 OC'ing, here's where I am so far......

New Core i7 system (after my abortive MSI X58M motherboard experiment....POS!)....

Asus Rampage II Gene mb
3 x 2GB Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 RAM
4870 1GB video card
1TB WD Black hd, etc., etc.

Watercooled with HK 3.0 LT, DDC2 pump w/XSPC top, TFC 240 radiator.....

CPU-z screenshot and Realtemp at idle.

Anyway, got it to 4.0GHz on 1.3V core voltage. Rest of settings are a mystery to me, but best I got them to was Uncore voltage 1.36V, RAM voltage 1.64V and freq of 1603MHz, 200 x 20 multiplier, Turbo on, HT on, all power savings options off. About all I remember.....I left a lot of settings on Auto, to be honest.

Ran Linpack and OCCT 3 for an hour.....hottest core got to 66C.

But, am complete novice to i7 overclocking (which is why a lot of settings are on Auto).....any suggestions for better settings, settings that I missed, need to check, set, etc.?

With good temps, you might be able to keep going with a D0. Up Qpi and Vcore a bit more if necessary. Keep QPI voltage (or is it Uncore on your board?) at less than 1.4, and probably same with vCore. You may be able to go pretty high with your water, and if you want more, you can turn HT off. Also, play around with voltages if needed, just dont go to high. Mainly uncore/QPI, vcore, and Vdimm should concern you.

I have a Gigabyte mobo, so I dont know your bios setup, but keep looking online for bios templates and guides, and check max safe voltages and stay under them.
