OK..my systems cranking away at RC5...and now a few questions

1, How long should it take to complete 1 download of 23 WU's?

2, Are there ways of configuring your system to have it go faster?

1. Depends on your CPU speed.

2. Have nothing, or as little as possible running resident, and don't use 3D screensavers.

and by all means... make sure the dnetc.ini file includes:

[misc]
project-priority=rc5=1, ogr=0, des=0, csc=0

Go Here!

In the Search Box, enter you e-mail id and hit search. Once your e-mail is displayed, click on the link and go to your stats page. At the bottom of the page, there will be a link to request the sending of your password. Once you have your password, go here:

Team Anandtech Distributed net page!

...and click on the link that says "I want to join this team" . A dialog box will pop up and you then enter your e-mail and the received password to join...

P.S. Make sure you have submitted at least one completed block (WU) for 24 hours before attempting to do this. D.net won't have you listed until then...Sometimes they are a little slow!!!
 
At the bottom of your individual stats page, click "send me my password". To find your stats page, enter your eMail address in the search box under participant stats.

That means D.net hasn't processed your e-mail info from your blocks yet...They are a little slow, sometimes🙁 It takes at least 24 hours from the time you submit your first block!!
 
oh goodness..ok..well Ill do the changes tommorow then :> meanwhile these guys will happily crack all night.
 
Your downloadtime depends mostly on the speed of your connection... It should not take very long. I don't know any representative numbers, sorry...
