Ok, my last and final cell phone unlocking question

We bought a sony ericsson t610 locked onto the tmobile network... is there a a way to unlock it from the network, so that my friend can take it back to ukraine with him?

How about you call them and ask... You were given plenty of advice in this thread and chose to ignore every suggestion so far...
