I must have rubbed up against something, the plastic bumper kinda popped out on one side. there was a screw holding it in on the very corner, that was easy enough to screw back so it doesn't stick way out, but the part under the headlight refuses to go back into place for some reason🙁 i checked the styrofoam insert inside and that seems to be in the correct position so i doubt its in the way. try as i might i can't push it back in and have it stay🙁

heres a pic.

sweet suffering🙁

No, just curious.

I'm thinking of getting a Civic in 1-2 years. How is the road noise on highways?

I bought a 2000 Civic DX for my wife, we've had it 18 months, fairly quiet on the highway.
Great fuel economy.

road noise sucks donkey balls🙁 the newer ones are slightly better but not as good as the corollas. corollas in 98 were also far better insulated against road noise, but they were ugly as ass back then. if your going to buy a car in this class in 1-2 years the new corolla is for you. it finally looks better then the civic, probably has slightly better build quality/noise dampening.

It looks like your bumper has settled a little bit. Usually this happens to early 90's model cars.

Make sure all the screws, holding the bumper on, are tight and look for any damage. Thats really all you can do...

Damn that's not what I wanted to hear! Was thinking about getting the Honda Civic HX but my mind changes every month so who knows what I'll eventually buy.

I think you're going to have to crawl under and see how it's fastened underneath. The mounting hardware has let loose or bent. I can't picture how it's held on, but I figure something under there got pushed out of place.

BTW, I hope you didn't screw up somebody else's car doing it! If so, the owner of the other car has probably voodoo cursed you to the point that it will NEVER be right! 😛

get an impreza rs 🙂

road noise isnt great stock; but w/ a little dynamat (or generic for me) in the doors and the trunk its as quiet as a acura. heh
