Ok, I've decided to get my feet wet

I plan to as soon as time permits me to properly assemble and leak test everything. I don't think it will be as franken-cooler as you guys expect but I do think the price will come as a shock, that is assuming it even works! 😉

It will be worth seeing IMO, if not because you're shoving it into that itty-bitty (by my standards) case, but because I like seeing things 😛

yeah, after doing some looking and preparing for test fitting last night, I realized how small that case is. I need to figure out WHERE all this stuff is going to go!

I may end up needing to mount more stuff externally than i had anticipated. I was hoping to keep it all in the case but that probably won't happen.

Even so, keep in mind you should try to make the loop as short as possible, so try to plan it out that way.

I know, I wanted the rad on the side of the case where the 120 fan hole is and the pump/res in the front where the HDD mounts are. I'm just not sure it will fit, I think my rad might be too wide/thick to fit there so i need to get creative.

My wife blames you for all of this. Now i'm looking at picking up a MCR220 and a 655 pump so I don't have to fight with the submersible one I have.

From what gil was saying, maybe you'd better pass that cardboard box to him! I find myself leaving computer items here @ work lately myself.

Maybe easier but more fun to blame you!😛
Fortunately for you CT and Cali are along way apart, my other half wants blood.........

I got a trick to hiding the CC bill. I bought that E3110 (via CC) then sold it (via paypal) then sold my E6550 (via paypal) then bought my new Q6600 (via CC). So all she knows is I bought a CPU, she forgot about the extra funds I have hidden in paypal! 😉

She doesn't really care too much though, We got a deal worked out. When she gets to go shopping, So do I. She wanted a new purse, I get PC hardware. She wants an iPhone, I get new PC hardware, she wants.... well, you get the idea!

She only blames you because she keeps nibbing over my shoulder seeing all the PM's & thread replies flying about where I quote you! *whew, dodges a bullet and directs it at aigo!*

LMAO!

your the one who treats my PM box like an AIM chat window! you and ruby both!

You keep hitting reply! 😉

BTW, I caved. I returned all the pond pumps and decided to look for a MCR220/320 and a 655 pump. I figured I had $37 in the pond pump and it's a submersible so I'd need a good res and it's 1/2 the cost of a 655. I decided to get the 655 and go for the T line, less hassle in the long run and more flexibility in mounting since the loop will be sealed.

Have you decided where to mount the rad yet? Did you consider one of those swiftech back mounting radbox things? Looks like it would be a pretty easy mounting solution for you

http://www.swiftech.com/products/MCB-120-R2.asp

I think a 1x120 will fit inside but I don't know if a single 120 will be enough. A 2x120 or 3x120 will be mounted externally, either on the back or on the side.

I had a line on one but the seller is avoiding me for some reason so I may just grab one direct from swiftech.

gill theres a new pump out by DD which isnt expensive, and does fairly well.

and DOE you picked up the vario version, That version can only be run at setting 4, while the on vario has setting 5.

Read the entire page that I linked... with that swiftech radbox, you can mound a 2x120mm rad externally on the back, and it comes with the hardware to do so. I really think this might be the way for you to go here as it won't require any modding of any type.

EDIT: you could even mount a 3x120 rad if your case wasn't sitting on the floor (the 3x120mm rad would extend beyond the bottom of your case)

I know what the rad box is already, I plan on using one to mount already. I just need to figure out where. Ask aigo, I over research everything. 😉

The back, duh! 😛

Won't fit on the back. 😉
Review my case linked in the OP. While the newegg pics say it has a 80mm rear fan, it in fact has a 92mm BUT the rear fan screw are recessed so the rad box won't mount there. Plus it would block all of the slots.

http://c1.neweggimages.com/New...mage/11-147-068-29.jpg

I think I can mount it to the side easy enough though lying horizontally with the barbs in the back. I could route the tubing into one of the lower slots then.

why wouldn't it be eaiser to to screw two holes on the back end as apposed to 4 holes on the side and then using the pci bracket to route the tubing? As far as it blocking the PCI slots..... wouldn't it be easier to bend some wires than measuring and drilling extra holes?

You didn't look at the picture close enough. There is physically no way to mount it to the back. The holes for the fan are recessed on the right and the back of the case itself is VERY flimsy. With that uneven mount point plus the possibility of blocking the PCI slots, I'd rather mount it on the side panel to make it easier and more sturdy.
