Violence is sometimes necessary. How else could Nazi Germany have been stopped from conquering Europe, Northern Africa, parts of Asia, etc.?

glenn1,
Yes as a people I support Israel more than Palestine, but not as an authority, both sides were equaly low there, up untill this came up.

I ask everyone here, would you support actions like that one taken by any army???

I lived in Jerusalem for 3 years, so I think i have some understanding of this issue. Czar, the Red Crescent ambulances are the Palestinians main smuggling vehicle. The constantly ferry arms and even suicide bombers over the borders inside these ambulances. They bring these kind of things onto themselves. There is no other way to deal with it. Czar, try to have some real knowledge of the situation before you post. Dont believe everything the media feeds you. If you want some real news, go here.

Dont you think that 3 hours would have been enough to search it for weapons?

Nothing simpler to do in the heat of battle, then to start searching vehicles which are proven as dangerous vehicles. Hello? Start searching vehicles in middle of a firefight? I think not.

The solution to all of this is for one of the neighboring large arab countries to give land to form a palestinian state.

Poor Czar has no perspective regarding a firefight.

<< I do not support palestine suicide bombings I do not support Israeli invations, there is nothing in this war that I support. Just stopping medics trying to help and watch people bleed to death for 3 hours is far worse than a single bullet to the head. >>

So you are saying shooting and killing the medic isn't as bad as preventing a medic from helping people bleed to death?

All I have to say is, if people tried to bomb the US, and we found out which country these suckers came from, we'd be sending everything we've got and mow that place over, regardless of how much "evidence" we had. The example is shown in Afghanistan. All I'm saying is, if Israel were the U.S., these shinanagans would have been over after the first attack.

There is no good side to all this anymore. Nothing but evil and hate - murder and slaughter.

This will not end until someone pulls these 2 nations apart and settles this decidedly. And I don't think peace talks can work here anymore - we've been trying, what, 30 years?

The U.N. needs to declare whos land is whos - neither side is going to like it, but you let anyone that needs to move do so, then create a 10 mile wide strip of no-man's land, patrolled by and guarded by U.N. soldiers.

Israel and Palestine will bitch and moan and yell for years that the land dividing wasn't fair, etc etc etc. But with no one left to actually physically fight, maybe they will get on with life in another 40 years or so.

Czar - one quick question: You've had enough of Israel, but have you not had enough of Palestine too?

First of all, if you return to the pre-1967 borders, the state of Israel would only be about 6 miles wide in some areas. SIX MILES! You have to realize that you're dealing with a country approx. the size of New Jersey. Secondly, Israel would never agree to have UN soldiers patroolling their border, and rightfully so. Some Indian UN troops actively participated in the kidnapping of 3 Israeli soldiers last year, and then Kofi Annan refused to release the video of the kidnapping which he admitted he possesed, even though it would have given Israel a clue to their wherebouts. Thirdly, the UN said already in 1949 whos land was who's. The Palestinians heard what the UN had to say, and promptly went to war.

<< Truth is relative, but Czar has the moral ground here. He is only concerned with ways to help people who suffer because of war.

And here you are trying to convince him that violence is nessecary or justified. Your eye for an eye attitude shows your true colors.
>>

The only thing Czar has is a distorted sense of high morality. Apparently he says there is no right or wrong, so he's 'neutral' in the war on terror. At the same time he can claim that Israel has gone too far, yet never express outrage at the numerous Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians. If that's 'moral ground' then he can keep it.

And pacifism can be just as deadly as violence. Perhaps in your perfect world we'd all settle our differences while sucking on lollipops, but we live in a little concept known as reality. In reality we have people like Hitler and Osama bin Laden who cannot be reasoned with. To even try leads to disaster. If you disagree with that then I have nothing more to say to you, because you obviously lack the intellect God gave a brick wall.

I'd like to send Czar to search vehicle or try to talk peace during a firefight. I wonder what would get him first, the enemy or friendly fire?

Ok, I'v had enough of Israel!!!

this statement seems to imply that at one point you supported them and they finally went too far.

there are no easy answers for the middle east. anyone who tells you differently just isn't aware of the situation over there.

there are no good guys and bad guys over there, just people killing each other, (in that sense they are all bad guys).

Just a curious question for you all (more importantly, Czar). When a mosquito bites you and start sucking on your blood, what's your first reaction?

Czar is the peacenik equivalent of DessertCart. No matter how many times he gets dusted, no matter how many times his hypocrisy and inanity is illuminated, he just ignores it and keeps on going.

Im just curious, does that mean in Afghanistan there are no good guys or bad guys? Is America bad guys too becuase they hit back when they're attacked? Thats what Israel is doing. Hitting back when they were attacked.
