Well, you know they say karma evens things out......maybe this is a very, very minor payback for yesterday when a mile from my house, taking off from a stop sign, my transmission in my car puked. The transmission place said I blew out the planetary gears in the tranny........and they wanted $1700 to rebuild the thing. Found a used one for $450...coming tomorrow.

i'd get a release or something out of them, could be like that person whose paycheck kept coming after they quit, called to alert the school district, school district didn't care, but a few years later some bill collector starts harassing them over it.

That sounds about like what happened to me when I needed a new transmission for my Accord. Most shops wanted 1800 to rebuild or 2500 for a rebuilt one with a $500 core charge :Q I found a guy local to me and bought a used one for $50 off a forum.

Yeah.........what the heck is up with that? And the used one I'm getting has a 6 month warranty included with it. Of course, it won't include the labor to put it in, but still...........after labor, I'm saving over $1000 going with the used one.

If they don't charge you, and won't accept it back, I'm pretty sure you just got a free product...

I had bought something online last year, they sent me the wrong thing, so I called and they shipped me the correct item. I told them I'd send the other item back if they gave me an account number or a label to ship it back, they never did so I never sent it back.
