Looks a little different now, but not too much. I still have a lot of work ahead of me. Got replacement leather seats out of a minivan that I'm going to try to mount since the originals are pretty much completely shot.

Good luck with that.

I doubt they will fit, too wide. I put seats out of a Hundi Excel in my squareback, they fit GREAT!

If you need any help, I'm a ex VW mech. !

I took measurements, and as long as I take the base off the seats and remove the doorside armrests from the seats, it seems like they should fit. Luckily it's pretty easy to remove the stock seats for a test fit :p
Right now I have an intermittent misfire, not running so well. I think I need to retune the carb (didn't do it right after cleaning, I suspect :(), check the timing, and quite possibly replace the fuel pump. I also want to take out the 009 and put in a dizzy from a bus that has a vacuum advance.
If you've got any ideas on good back seat replacements, I'm all ears. As it is I'm probably just going to stuff a bunch of cushion foam around the springs and recover it. STILL not done cleaning out all the old horsehair crap.

I would stick with the 009!

I have a electronic ignition set-up for one of those I'll sell you if you are interested!

Hm... if it's still around in a month or two, I may take you up on that. I'm not a big fan of setting my points.

Hey, the sun was out, which rarely happens in washington. so when it does, you go out and take pictures. there was no hot chicks to be found at the time, so the car took second place.

Putting one in my VW was the best thing I ever did!

Starts first time every time and runs SO much better!

pic - I camera-phoned this yesterday and since the original quality sucked, I diffusion-glowed it.
