WHO would want this thing? What appeal does this vehicle have for ANYONE?

I probably see on avergae 6-8 a day at least. Many friends of mine insist on flipping off every H2 they see, i kinda hope it develops into a trend nation wide so they quit selling them. I doubt it, but hey, one can wish.

The SUV loophole is within Section 179 of the Internal Revenue Code that allows small businesses to deduct the full cost of all sorts of equipment that was put into service during a tax year. Until the new bill had passed, the limit on such deductions was $25,000 with a phaseout as the cost of acquisitions hit $200,000. The $200,000 phaseout effectively excluded large businesses that make millions of dollars of acquisitions from taking advantage of the deduction. With the new bill, the limit on deductions has been raised to $100,000 and the phaseout has been raised to $400,000. "The intent of this is to stimulate capital expenditures," explains Mitchell Kauffman, a financial planner based in Pasadena, California. "That's about a third of the economy and a segment that's been lagging."

The financial benefit is only as great as the marginal tax rate based on the taxpayer's total income.

actually, this is not accurate. almost as important to the small business owner as the marginal rate is the 15% social security.

I see them all the time in Solon Ohio. Solon is yuppie central. Tons of BMW 325i's and Hummer H2's and a couple Mercede's here and there.

but the Gov will not credit your taxes with it ya doof. The $ is a reduction in your taxes, not a check from the dealer.

There's a catering place right around the corner from me that has a stretch 'limo' Hummer.
It looks funny next to the Lincolns and Caddies.

This is a discussion, why can't I post what I heard on TV, I never said this is exactly what people do, the people at msnbc did, I'm just relaying the news article.

So if someone posts some news article, is he/she a ex-AOL'er ?
