OK i just screwed the pooch. please help me.

I thought I had some spyware and or virus so I ran pestpatrol and adaware. Then I ran Interner Explorer and I kept getting instructions to install Macromedia Flash player but it wouldn't install.
Now when I go to websites I get a lot of red x's where there should be menues and such. Firefox brings up entire pages but IE doesnt.

How can I fix this?

Sounds like a message from your PC to you, stop using IE .

Seriously though I would download IE 6 SP1 and see if installing it over itself will help.

Yep - you can also try resetting Web settings in IE if there is still an issue (Tools-->Internet Options-->Programs)
