Yes, the XT is PCI-E only, and the XT PE is available in both AGP and PCI-E.

I don't think you will be disappointed either way. With that said, the difference between the cards being 40 pounds only (and thus a 14% price difference), I'd say you may as well stick with the faster X800XT, which is often around 14% faster anyway.
