Well then,

1. Dry leaves of unknown plant and place in baggie.
2. Drive to rival town, say Selbyville.
3. Sell #1 as Happygrass at highschool
4. Using Profits purchase really MaryJane.
5. Watch for news in paper for strange ailment at high school.

Both my wife and I recognize it as a common weed, but neither of us can identify it. Which is odd for my wife... she knows a lot... Her hobby is edible wild plants so it's probably not edible.

Sometimes people plant perennial plants and they turn out to be invasive as heck. It looks so familiar to me, I am looking through my perennial books. Does it seem to be concentrated by any flower beds?

it's concentrated in the back of the yard in front of the Lilac bushes
the plants are mostly in a line running east west
there is also a line of peony busshes running north south.
