updated to SP2? Prolly a dumb question with your post count. Also check your disk management (control panel --> administrative tools --> computer management --> storage --> local disk) and see if u can resize your partition

Thats an easy fix. If you don't have any data on the drive. Just delete both partitions and format the drive. Then create one big partition. The only reason I can think of that it had a 140GB partition already on it is that it was a customer return or something. Otherwise all new drives come unpartitioned.

No, the limit for FAT32 partition is not 137gb - I have a partition about 250gb in size that's FAT32.
Windows XP SP1 can't "see" partitions above 137gb, FAT32 or NTFS, unless you install service pack 2. Then it will be able to see gigantic partitions.

post count: it's probably from off-topic, where it grows much faster than in tech/help section.

There's actually a separate patch you can install (search for "48-bit LBA") if for some bizarre reason you don't want to go to SP2. But unless you have specific reasons for not taking the full SP2 package, I'd do that. I'm not sure if you can get all the security updates if you don't have SP2 installed.
