OK bug people....identify this one

What the hell kind of bug is this?

These things are crawling all over outside my window at work. I caught this one on the sticky part of a post it and put it under the microscope

Any ideas?

Hmm, looks like a tick or something. Only way to be sure is to grab a handful, put em in your mouth, and see what happens.

It's a type of mite I believe...probably a European red mite

Glen, you may be right, it does look more like your pic. I've never heard of deer ticks crawling all over a window. If they are it would be rather scary to have a window full of ticks. I have seen mites on a window.
