Ok, Best Rapper.

The Godfather

Platinum Member
Current best rapper.

Who should I add?

I'm going with Eminem. I mean, everyone is hating on him because he's got mad skill and he isn't black. Hate it or love it, Jay Z can't compare, neither can Nas.

that poll kind of sucks but if I had to choose of those four.. it's Jay-Z

Jay-z is at his prime right now, which can be heard on the black album
What more can I say?

Jay Z's voice is irritating. He can't stay in tact with the beat and enlarges his sentences out of proportion. He makes some of his rhymes suck. He tries too hard.

😕
that's part of his flow, his uniqueness in his rhymes which developed over time, I like Jay-z's style especially in tracks like Encore. When comparing his debut album the reasonable doubt to the blueprint or the black album, he is better than before

Mos Def or Talib Kweli.

Lyrically, no one can match them. Every single song they have written has substance and meaning to it. Hell, Mos Def wrote an entire 4 minute song about water and made it sound good and interesting!

Eminem can 🙂 So can 2pac but 2pac isn't a "current" rapper.

Eminem has had some good songs, I give him that, but he doesn't have the lyrical prowess of Talib or Mos.

Listen to "The Manifest" by Talib Kweli. Such an awesome song, he spells out the rules that rappers should follow when trying to make music. Also check out "Knowledge of Self" by Talib as well.

Are you serious? Listen to Em's flows man. His rhymes aren't like Mos or Talib's, where they eat up the last vowels of words to make them rhyme. This guy gives rhyme after rhyme. He can make you cry and laugh in the same sentence.
