The link in your sig would probably be more effective if the title named the fund, instead of pleading for help for your son. For example, it could say something like:

Support the Walk To Cure Diabetes. Thanks from me, my diabetic son and thousands of other afflicted children.

This is just an example. You can use your own words. It will appear in all of your posts and will probably get far better results than a sticky thread where the title and the text are not immediately clear about the real subject.

We wish the best for you and your son and for the Walk For Diabetes.

Is your son's suffering based on a few little scratches on his arm? I don't even see what's wrong with his hands, and his face looks fine.

I really don't know what the problems associated with diabetes are, and I'm pretty sure those little marks on his arm are from insulin injections, but the pictures hardly scream out "I'm suffering!", I've had worse looking injuries caused by scissors.

if you want to gain people's sympathy, maybe post a list of the symptoms of diabetes or something. I'm really not trying to be an ass, but your son looks absolutely fine in those pictures.

i guess rudeguy didn't want to repeat what he had said in the already-locked thread, but his short description there made me feel the pain -- the daily regimen associated with diabetes is not ideal. there's a lot more to it than what you see in this thread.
