some people like to put a short statement a few lines below the name
ex:
To get people to take many strange classes by calling a phone number and to help the starving kids in Africa
Then list some work history and/or skills that apply to the job you are seeking
ex:
May 1980 - June 2005
Actress - T.V. Commercials
-duties included getting people to sign up for various classes including VCR repair, Underwater basketweaving, Liberal Arts, Fast-food prep, High School Graduate.
-also starred in commercials pictureing starving kids in Africa.
If this doesn't help enough, MS Word has a resume format, as does Corel Wordperfect. I believe that MS Works has a better one than Word IIRC (haven't used Works in ages though). Also if you are still in college, talk to an AC there (or an English prof. if you are on good terms with him/her), they should be able to help.
