What is a word made up of 4 letters yet is also made up of 3. Although is written with 8 letters, and then with 4. Rarely consists of 6, and never written with 5.

:hmm:

Omitting the crucial comma after "letters" in you first sentence completely alters the meaning of "yet is also made up of 3" from what you need it to be for your riddle to make sense.

Without the delimiting comma, "yet is also made up of 3" must refer to the word "what" that begins that sentence.

Bs riddle fail.

Didn't say anywhere it was a riddle. :colbert:

Should be an entrance question/statement on the ACT.

😀

In which case every single poster who thinks they provided the correct interpretation/answer would have been absolutely WRONG.

Reading comprehension, folks. :colbert:

Insert grammar nazi image here.

😉

Had it appeared on the ACT as written, you and everyone else in this thread who thinks they interpreted the OP correctly would have been wrong.

Would you have whined about Grammar Nazis then, or would you have taken the lesson to heart and learned something about how to read the English language? 😉

Perk ruined it. Yes, we all knew the grammar was terrible and flat-out wrong.

If we all posted like it was the ACTs, I would be rather bored 🙁
