there were several teachers i would've done it with if i had the opportunity in high school

Okay... the show just finished airing. The only thing question that sticks in my mind is "Could I be with a person who slept with one of her students (even if she's a hottie)?"

This whole thing brings to mind that if it were a man instead of a woman charged and convicted of this we wouldn't be having this discussion. Thats what urinates me off.

How long are we talking about?

That show disgusted me last night. It was almost as if Dateline wanted to portray HER as the victim, trying to make us feel sorry for her because she was raped as a kid, had daddy issues and was depressed. I guess that makes it perfectly acceptable to rape a child several times.

The bottom line is that she didn't do prison time because she's a very attractive female and the kid was a 14 year old guy. Had that been a creepy male teacher doing that to a 14 year old girl, I can assure you he wouldn't be lounging around a swimming pool like she's doing. Nor would he get a primetime interview where we're provoked to feel pity for him. I cannot believe that when asked if her appearance played a part in not serving time, she actually said "yes, sex sells."

I blame her for what she did to the kid but I blame our system even more for allowing her to spend her days getting a sun tan in her backyard while so many other rapists are behind bars.
