so, I've changed my mind from the 2405 and will be getting the Samsung 244T.

I have a question. I have 4 PC's tied through a KVM switch. The switch can handle up to 1920x1440, so native is no problem through it.

From a video card perspective, 3 of the 4 will be fine at native res. My laptop is a bout 3 years old(work pc), and can only display as high as 1600x1200.

So, when I hot-key on the KVM from one of the 3 PC's running at 1920x1200, and hit the laptop at 1600x1200, will the LCD automatically just adjust to display at this res. and will it look OK? I assume there will be vertical bars on each side of the display, but I just want to ensure as you move between PC's on an LCD with different resolutions, you don't have to manually change anything on the LCD.

thanks!

The LCD will display at whatever res the graphics card programs it to, as long as the res and refresh rate are supported. It will look a little blocky at 1600 x 1200, but that is pretty much unavoidable.

The Dell can be set (via its own menu) to display original resolution w/ black borders, scaled w/ aspect ratio intact, or scaled to full screensize.
