That sounds disgusting.

It's got a great kick though. i have a friend who mixes half SoCo/half oj and it's pretty good.

Southern Comfort is a Liquor based on a classic recipie of 32 flavors. It is NOT a whiskey.

Bourbon is a whiskey. Keep it far away from citrus unless you know what you are doing.

yeah i wasn't sure what soco was, but i know what bourbon is. just drunk college kids experimenting. 🙂

now if i start mixing scotch and OJ something is wrong.

the beam goes straight, or it goes in coke, or it goes in 7-up. the beam does not go in OJ. repeat after me: the beam does NOT go in OJ!

Ick. Boubon + OJ = nasty, but I admire your spirit of adventure! Probably wouldn't be good with milk either.

A friend served me bourbon and sweet tea, over ice, and it is alarmingly tasty. Bonus if you have a little mint (extract will do)

If you want to mix, stick with vodka. Decent bourbon should not be mixed with anything.

*cough*
nothing wrong with it on the rocks or possible with a cherry or maybe an old fashioned.

Bourbon + homemade syrup w/mint + crushed ICE = Mint Julip!

Dont' mind me. I just live in KY. 😉

It might. This is how drinking history is made, sir!

Actually, I don't know. If you try it, I'd love to hear about it. The black-tea flavor in sweet-tea+bourbon is part of the goodness, but your mint tea could take it in a new direction. I know sweet tea and bourbon was nicer to me when it was cold, cold, cold.

Great. Now I'm eyeing my booze shelf and noticing I have no bourbon. Or mint tea.

Sounds like the mint tea will work!
(y'know, I've never had a mint julep. I should remedy that.)

Brewing some now, I'll be back in about 15 minutes. thanks!
