oil price in other countries

if we are experiencing 100~300% increase in price the recent past. what are other countries seeing? they already have a high start, i can't imagine if they still experienced the same amount of increase as we did. but it doesn't make sense if they didn't. the oil market is a global market, so if we are being hurt by the lesser demand, so are all other countries, and their price should increase by the same porportion just as ours shouldn't it?

We are seeing a large increase in the price of gasoline at the pump, the oil cost is being seen by other countries who buy oil on the open market just like us.

Actually, the falling dollar is huring our oil price somewhat. I would venture to say that other countries, while hurting, aren't hurting as much as their currency will trade for "more" dollars now hence, more oil for the same currency (since oil is traded in US dollars).

Canada is hurting more then you are.. and we're one of the world's largest Crude Oil producers.

Oddly enough we sell it all to the Americans and then buy it back for more... ?!

how much did it cost you to fill up, say 2 year ago, and 1 years ago, and how much is it now?

me ~ 20/30/40

Our gas is measure in litres.

1 year ago it was about 65cents a litre... now it's 1,10 a litre.

Cost me like $30 to fill up a year ago.. now it costs me about 50-60 varying.

2 years ago AU$0.95/litre (US$2.70/gallon)
1 year ago AU$1.15/litre (US$3.26/gallon)
last night I saw AU$1.45/litre (US$4.12/gallon)

Australia has more taxes on its fuel, but then we are not as bad some of the European countries.

Where do you live, that gas is so cheap?

I filled up yesterday: (US) $6.55/gal

btw, you guys should really stop using those nutty units without system:
1 US.liq.gal. = 4 liquid qt. = 8 US.liq.pt. = 16 US.cup = 32 US.liq.gi.= 128 US.fl.oz. = 231 inch³ = 3,785411784 Liter

I mean 4-8-16-32 that makes sense (although in a decimal counting system 😕 ), but then 128? Shouldnt it be 64 and how does the 231 get in there that is completely out of order....

It's actually an English (as in UK) system of measurement that has been around for centuries. AS far as I know only the US and UK still use it.
