less than 1pg/$ ???? What does that mean? Those are some pretty expensive pages.

He means my long running Oil thread.

Glad to see it closed over $50, hopefully soon we'll see $3 and $4 a gallon gas shortly.

How long can the Oil Thugs sandbag the price holding it back artificially???

They'll shoot the price to at least close to $4 a gallon after the election no matter which one gets elected, guaranteed.
have any evidence that the saudis et al are sandbagging, or are you just ranting irrationally? the saudis dont even want high oil prices. there are a lot more wells that are profitable at $50 a barrel than $35.

Who said anything about sandbagging? They are cranking out the most oil ever in their history. They are running out faster than ever is the point.

Literally or Communaly? 😉

Alberta is going to have to bury its' money in an abandoned Coal mine at this rate! 😀 I wonder how much Ottawa gets, maybe record Surplusses? Certainly doesn't hurt BC and/or Newfoundland either. 🙂

Literally. My oil and gas fund is up over 40% in the last year...that is unheard of!

But yes...good for canada too.

Also, i like the fact that the higher price is getting people interested in alternate fuels and energy.
It's the only way to get people off the SUV craze.

This is what happens when the US keeps outsourcing so many jobs that other countries economies grow at record levels .. THEY begin to take our share of the oil and it drives the price up.

Iraq was invaded because of it's 2nd largest proven oil reserves supply and Saddam's inclination to push OPEC to switch to the Euro for oil pricing.

I work from home, and if I'm going less than 25miles round trip alone and not carrying too much back I ride my MTB. I can go anywhere from 4-8weeks on a tank of gas depending on how often I beach it 🙂 My wifey works though so her usage is far higher. Her VUE is a 4banger stick that is pretty good on MPH though. I've upgraded to new more efficent central air/heat, frig, washer/dryer, hot water heater, and improved sealing and insulation. The Puron I bought even lets me control humidity so that I can leave it on 77f now with ceiling fans and it's as comfortable as it used to be@74f but it runs alot less. My electric bill reflects it very well too despite rising power costs here, We use quite few less KWH a year. That's how I fight rising gas prices, and I'm staying fit in my late 30's too so it's good all around

What would be really ironic is if as Chinese continue to get off their bikes and into cars, Americans are forced to do the opposite 😀
