OHIO's provisional ballots - Massive fraud going on right now!

Vote Theft Round 2: And so the sorting and discarding of Kerry votes begins

Are the provisional ballots in Ohio being thrown out? A new rule for counting provisional ballots in Cuyahoga County, Ohio was implemented on Tuesday, November 9 at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon, according to election observer Victoria Lovegren.

The new ruling in Cuyahoga County mandates that provisional ballots in yellow packets must be 'Rejected' if there is no 'date of birth' on the packet. The Free Press obtained copies of the original 'Provisional Verification Procedure' from Cuyahoga County which stated 'Date of birth is not mandatory and should not reject a provisional ballot.' The original procedure required the voter's name, address and a signature that matched the signature in the county's database.

Lovegren described the clerks as 'kind of disturbed' after the new ruling came down. She said that one of the clerks told her, 'This is new. This just came down. They just changed it in the last thirty minutes.' According to Lovegren, 80 yellow-jacketed provisional ballots piled up in the hour and 45 minutes she observed. By Lovegren's tally, three provisional ballots were rejected because the registered voters' registration had been 'cancelled.' The rest, she said, were being discarded because of no date of birth.

In 2000, an estimated 9% of Ohio's provisional ballots were rejected and not counted, according to Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell. Many election observers are predicting the number will be much higher this year due to directives from Blackwell's office

If true then this should be illegal. You cannot make a law like this retroactive.

blackwell is a total publicity Whore. I bet He cried when Kerry conceded. He was Hoping he could get more limelight and be a good little repblican. and maybe they would all cheer his blackness.

I've done e-stalking for years, it's impossible to verify someone's identity without a DOB or SS #.

Look up John Smith on Anywho for NYC. 194 hits...

Registering & ensuring your name is on the list is not that difficult.

How come Kerry supporters are the only voters in America who aren't bright enough to cast a correct ballot? If there is a blank that requests date of birth, why would they think that was just there for looks? I really get tired of listening to LLL's (Loonie Left Liberals) whining because they can't do anything right and in the very next breath explaining how they are the nations intellectual elite! For a group who just knew that they had their finger on the pulse of the nation on the afternoon of the election, they couldn't have been more wrong. Would that cause them to question some of their basic assumptions? NO! They just forge ahead under incorrect assumptions and whine when they are proven wrong. What a disgusting bunch. No wonder I don't respect LLL's!

It seems to be a hell of a hill for our LLL friends!

They always cry about fraud and disenfranchisement in Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward counties here in Florida. All 3 counties are completely controlled by Democrats from top to bottom. A democrat even designed the infamous butterfly ballot. If theres fraud and disenfranchisement going on here in Florida they are doing it to themselves.

Obviously the democrats can't vote properly, nor can they properly run an election.

So why can't they just fill out the stupid DOB? Sure, a law can't be retroactive, but we aren't counting provisionals anyway. Ohio is a red state. It's already been decided.

Now *that* was funny. 😉

Interesting how none of you Republicans even cared to address the legality of this new law being enforced retroactively... but that is expected of you after you have given your support to Alberto Gonzalez who was the advisor for the Abu Ghraib sexual torture case and who is allowing Bush to torture innocents in Guantanamo

It isn't a new law.

As of right now (prior to the Ohio SoS's little input), you did NOT need a DOB on your ballot...

The original procedure required the voter?s name, address and a signature that matched the signature in the county?s database.

The DOB may have been added to prevent fraud.

It was optional in the instructions.

As long as those ballots are not destroyed, then there should not be a problem.

The OP took the headlines from the article, which in true media fashion, takes a snippet of news and turns the molehill into a mountain of deceptive informaiton.

Well, if the SoS of Ohio is making new rules as he goes, then that's definitely not right.
