Ohio votes to repeal Republicans' anti-union attack

Edit: The election has been called against the measure, overturning Republicans' attack on union, nearly 2-1 with 28% reporting.

Election is today. Thread to be updated with election results, polls showing the people will win this battle against the corrupt Republican ALEC-based agenda and vote 'no'.

That would make it an example of democracy working for the people this time, defeating the well-funded corporate agenda to take money and power from the public.

Citizens United, the group who brought with the help of 5 on the Supreme Court the further corruption of our democracy, is a major funder of last-minute ads to vote 'yes'.

I am sure the unions made sure to spend enough money this time unlike wisconsin. I am sure the voters of ohio will vote for much higher taxes and less services in the future to give the unions what they want.

How are Unions robbing States? The reason why most States are in a fiscal pinch because of pensions is because the people who were the caretakers of those said pensions invested them on Wallstreet and when the Economy tanked so did States bottom lines.

Instead of vilifying(AKA Republican wet dream for the last 100 years) people that had NOTHING to do with it shouldn't we be stringing up the assholes by the balls that lead us into this Financial clusterfuck?

open minded craig posts a left wing talking point. Color me unsurprised.

anti-union?

repealing the law is anti-tax payer.

But when have unions cared about anyone but themselves.

Hey, if the people of Ohio want to continue unsustainable benefits and union thugs, it's up to them. They have nobody to blame but themselves when their taxes have to get jacked to pay for the union demands.

Can you provide the Data that proves union benefits were the reason why both Ohio and Wisconsin was in the Red? You may sway me to your position.

Is it wrong if that's their choice instead of Grover's.

Google "unsustainable benefits ohio", lots of information available. That certainly is not the only reason (idiots in government spending too much in general), but it's one of the contributing factors, and until it gets addressed, the people will just see more and more of their money wasted... but that's their choice.

Do you get paid for "spreading the message" or something? Get paid for advertising those people in your signature?

Just curious 😉

Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahah!!!! If anyone offered you data to show you this, you'd dismiss it as conservative talking point garbage. No point in even trying.

FDR thought that public sector unions were a bad idea. The mess that we see being played out in NJ, WI, OH, and elsewhere is a living example that FDR was right.

Look at the state budget before and after this.
Anyone who looks at the facts know that Ohio has gained greatly from this legislation.

I've seen enough of your posts to know that you won't believe any data that would change your world view. You could look it up yourself, but you don't want to. It's far easier to make others do the work and the ridicule it, which is pretty muck all I've ever seen from you.

I see a lot of talk. I still don't see any data.

Lame retort detected....Show me the Data.

You won't see this on Faux Noise....
