Ohio State vs Texas

Train

Lifer
Only 4 days away, been looking forward to this one for a while now.

ESPN Magazine pointed to this game as the potential game of the year.

Tickets in Columbus are going for upwards of $1500 !!

First ever football game between the countries two largest universities.

The big question is, who will start at QB?? Likely both Smith and Zwick will play. How can Texas possibly prepare for two good quarterbacks??

My prediction: Ohio State 28 - Texas 17

zwick will start, im pretty sure he prooved himself saturday for tressel.

if texas is able to get the run going, it will be close.

other wise unless tOSU plays sloppy (read, zwick shows some more lack of thought) it will be tOSU by a lot.

This goes for the whole season: the only thing that can stand between OSU and a National Championship is coaching...

It's Tressel's to lose.

Well, that or one of the Glenville Posse pulling a Clarett and getting into to some deep dodo. But I think they are smarter than that, Smith's suspension might have been the perfect wake up call, and will be a good enough warning to keep the team out of trouble this year.

Clarett was such an embarassment. What's worse is that everytime his name is brought up Ohio State inevitably gets dragged into it.

The kid should just cut to the chase and start bagging groceries. It might be necessary to cut off his tongue.

From an Iowa fan, lets defend the Big Ten OSU!

Saturday is going to be FVCKING AWESOME.

UM/ND followed by Iowa/ISU with a tOSU/Texas in primetime, all on ABC.

Its gonna be fvckin sweet!

melton can't be stopped by anything other than the goal line, so good luck. and no one is fast enough to catch ramonce. not even vince young is that fast.

ND is going to get crushed by UM (I hate to say that but UM is the better team by far and I hate UM).

I think OSU's linebackers will keep Young under control.

i think ND is going to put up a great fight after watching last week's performance against pitt. (not to say pitt is in the same league as U of M)

Pitt made ND look outstanding much like Boise State made UGA look outstanding. Neither team is as good as they looked in winning those games.

People compare this year's Ohio State v. Texas game to last year's Michigan v. Texas bowl game. The mistake they're making is that Michigan had a really poor linebacking core and a sloppy secondary. Ohio State will be able to contain Young with Hawk + Schlegel + Carpenter. And by contain, I mean sack. And by sack, I mean sack repeatedly.

This is tOSU's game to lose.

dammit take that Notre Dame/UofM talk elsewhere!

If anyone thinks someone is gonna be able to run all over OSU, thier crazy, the secondary is just too good. I also dont think either team will break 30 points, unless it turns into a blowout.

:music:
In old Ohio there's a team
That's known throughout the land,
Eleven warriors, brave and bold,
Whose fame will ever stand,
And when the ball goes over,
Our cheers will reach the sky, O-
HI-O field will hear again
The Buckeye Battle Cry
Drive! Drive on down the field,
Men of the scarlet and grey,
Don't let them through that line,
We have to win this game today,
C'mon Ohio!
Smash through to victory,
We cheer you as we go,
Our honor defend,
We will fight to the end, for
O - HI - O
😎:music:
