I'm an OSU grad and the all brass sound from those guys is incredible. I had some friends on the band and they really bust their @ss to get on and stay on.
I've seen ALOT of college marching bands and most of the time we make them look like high school pep squads, but there are some other bands out there that are pretty damn sweet too - including (I'll say it) the band from 'that school up north.'
I always wish that the tv broadcasts would carry the band performances - sure its not the same, but at least I'd get to see something of what these others schools that we never play have.
