What's the point of having a "strong middle class" when they give 60% + of their money to the government in taxes? (Add up income tax, sales tax, property tax, and various "fees", and see where you come out.)

We are socialists. To call the United States anything other than Socialists is to perpetuate a myth.

We only like government control over things we can screw up without hurting anybody. We like to control the mail, the electricity, and the cable tv. If the government tried to run health care, we could actually kill somebody (other than Arabs, which apparently seems to be okay.)

8.625% here in NYC, up from 8.25%. It makes you think twice for higher priced items...
