Maybe we should take the longer view, mankind builds and does it matter if Ma Nature or later men do the destruction.

All those ancient cities, buried by sand or reclaimed by the jungle, we keep finding more of them every day. Or we could talk of Ancient stone Buddha's that became Taliban artillery practice targets.

Think of it as slum clearance, out with the old and in with the new. Rinse and repeat, the Lemon Law theory of world history. *

I think that this was a message from God. Perhaps God was trying to send a message of some sort to us and the Solid Rock Church.

(I'm an atheist, but, you know, how else should a devoutly religious person interpret something like that?)

A devoutly religious person must first ask him/herself why is it that God, the creator of the universe and all that is in it and without it can't handle finances... and why is it his will that the clergy in at least one of the many organizations has a certain proclivity toward their flock?
The gold in them there churches might feed the multitude but I guess... the hungry will always be with us... so we may as well be rich...
God is God all right.. but God ain't what us youmans have contorted God into.. or used to develop personal agenda, and etc... God is simply what is best defined as Love... God is within us all... To be allowed to exist or not... as you see fit... or as you are compelled to see by you..
