Ohhhhhh yes. Dill pickle chips spotted in the US!

I dunno how long this has been going on for but I was in the chip aisle and I thought I'd buy a bag of chips for a change. Low and behold a brand I'd never heard of (down south something or rather) had dill pickle. Time to bust that bag open.

Apparently there are smarties here too though I've yet to see them...

Skoorb, if you're in Alabama, they should have Zapps around there. I've been eating their Cajun Dill chips all my life. But the Cajun Crawtaters are the best. 😀

<< Golden Flake sells Dill Pickle chips here in the south but I'm not too fond of them. >>

I just opened them - they are golden flake. Not bad but not as good as hostess dill pickle.

skoorb!

this means you can help me!

apparently in america there is a product called "smarties" but its what we call "rockets" (you know those little sugar candies) so what do americans call rockets then?

*kat. <-- been pondering this for quite sometime.

NO, NOT THE LITTLE CANDIES IN ROLES. Those are ROCKETS.

<< so what do americans call rockets then? >>

Didn't you just answer your own question? They call rockets by the name smarties!

In canada the US "smarties" (which are hard candies in a role) are called rockets. This is because in Canada smarties are actually like M&Ms except better.

duh, okay.
do american rockets come in the little rolls and they get tonnes of them for halloween?

i still find it hard to believe that smarties arent chocolate in america.

*kat. <-- LOVES rockets.

wait: is there halloween in america?

*kat. <-- just teasing, she knows theres halloween in america cuz she sees it on tv.

Yep, thats them.

In the UK they (M&M like stuff) are called Smarties also. They do extra-large ones as well. Their computer-related claim to fame is that during the eighties Smarties were the first product to be advertised in the UK using CGI. I'm not a chocolate person (well - I do go for the occasional champagne truffle or Belgian chocolate) so I'm not familiar with whether they live up to any expectations.

Yep Canada now has access to the large smarties as well though they may be imported from England I'm not sure. Smarties rock!

eeeeew...Golden Flake? Golden Flake anything is crap. Trust me, try the Zapp's Cajun Dill. They're 1000x better! Hell, try any Zapp's. They're the best chips on the planet. 😀

<< Golden Flake anything is crap >>

Agreed.

The only Golden Flake chip I'll eat is their Hot Flavor Potato Chips but only because I can't find Lay's Flamin' Hot Potato Chips around here.

Skoorb! - Pickle Chips I absolutely love these. They have been on the shelves for the past 2 years here in the northwest, by far the best pickle chip i've ever had.

Of course, you know what they go well with: Tuna fish with chopped pickles sandwich!
