I went to visit a friend who lives in Anchorage this weekend. Stayed Saturday night and most of today, until I drove the 6 hours back. I didn't have a camera, so don't even ask! I usually keep a disposable in my truck, but the last I bought melted in my clove box.
Here is the story:
I bought a water cooler about 8 months ago, the types that take a 5 gallon water bottle and it heats/cools the water depending on the spicket you use.
Well a friend liked it, so what does he do? He buys one..... but does he put water in it? Unfortunately no.... he filled it with 5 gallons of cherry koolaid! I told him before he even bought the koolaid that the sugar would surely kill the cooler within minutes as it's not meant to hold liquids like that, but he said "Then how do those slushy things at the gas station not leak? It'll be fine." There was no talking him out of it.
To my dismay, it actually lasted....... just under 11 hour (we figure anyway, we were both asleep) before it evertually just gave out, leaking 5 gallons of koolaid on my friends kitchen/living room and bathroom floor. One of my shirts got soaked as it was dirty clothes bag (plastic walmart bag). Overall, I felt so bad for him because how his carpet it ruined. I resisted the urge to say "I told you so" so I feel I'm a much better person for the whole ordeel.
It was a site that I'll never forget. IT was also the first time I've ever seen my friend call him parents to ask for help....
