Personally I think that Warcraft3 is way better than Starcraft, and Warcraft 3 isn't all that great. It's not a bad game, but I wouldn't call it great.

GOOD NEWS FOR WHOEVER DIDN'T GET ACCEPTED:

Blizzard has put up two servers for the beta, one in Asia, and one in the USA, and they are not linked. This means that if you have ONE key, then TWO people can be using it, one on each server.

This could be helpful for the following scenarios:

1. You got the beta, and you want to play a team game with a friend of yours, or against a friend. All you have to do is find someone else in your situation, swap keys, and agree that one group of you will be on USA, while the other plays on Asia.

2. You didn't get in at all, and you find some kind soul that will share their key with you. (No one has been kind enough to me yet 😉)

I'm pretty sure this is not infringing on any copyright issues, because blizz didn't say anything about not being allowed to share beta keys. So maybe we can set up some kind of ATOT swap thread for people that this might help.

Actually, it probably is infringing. Of my 4 people I play with, 3 of them got it (2 of us did not). Their email specifically says not to share the keys. It is likely that it is reiterated in the EULA. In the past, Blizzard has not acted on sharers from my knowledge, but it is possible that they could get mad and risky for the keyholder. My friends may share with me since we keep different schedules at times but we are waiting to hear others' experiencs.
