isn't 10oz (about 2/3 lb) kinda the minimum defacto-standard at places with actual service (not McD's, BK, etc)?

I could finish off 3 1lb burgers in about 2 minutes easily...

hows it going fatty? just kidding. no way you could do that. absolutely no way.

There is a bar called seabrook tavern here that serves a 3 lb burger.

Free if you eat it all!

I wonder if they make you sign a disclaimer before you order it. There was enough fries on that plate that would put anybody into cardiac arrest if they comsumed them all.

In the UK it damn well is...1/2lb is the biggest you can buy in burger bars and stuff.....thinks back to the 1/2lb greaseburgers he used to eat at college.

At Baton Rouge restaurant here, I have the 16oz baby back ribs and 16oz chicken combo, which comes with fries and slaw. I definitely wouldn't do this often, but then again, I weigh about 120 lbs.

TJ Ribs?

I got a frisbee and specials menu for being the 3rd to ever finish the frat house "bluto burger" meal which is 3 15 oz. slabs of beef each with bacon, cheese, lettuce, mushrooms, mayo, onions, & forget what else, a baked potato, a side salad, & a coke. This was back when I was in high school and weighed less than 150 lbs. My appetite only increased during senior year & college......

Wow......... pretty big :Q

Cheers,

the burger itself, wouldn't be so much the issue, it's that hubcap full of fries that would do me in.... that's just wayy too much potato..

But a 1lb burger isn't really all that much, especially since it loses some mass in the cooking process...

The small burgers I make when grilling are two pounds. That is their cooked weight, but it does not differ too much, as I use the leanest ground beef I can get. Bison is even better.

Only in America do guys brag about being able to eat 3lb burgers, then start weight loss threads complaining about how they weigh 300 lbs and the kids at school make fun of them.
