A few weeks ago, I posted that I was comparing a bunch of vehicles including a C-class mercedes, mazda RX8, nissan 350z, infiniti G35, and mustang GT '05.
I was looking to buy something new but hadmy mind open for a good '04 pre-owned and certified just incase.
Personally, I liked almost all the cars I drove and compared and if I had found the right price would have bought any of them weeks ago.
Well the right price came over the weekend and I bought it today.
I picked up a '04 mazda RX8 with 2620 miles on it, fully loaded with the grand touring package, appearance package that includes the side skirts, rear spoiler, DVD navigation system and just about everything you can check off for options when you visit any car sight. It's black outside (yah I know black shows dirt easily) with black and red leather interior.
Price out the door, that's with no trade in and including TTL.. $22,000
MUAHAHAHAHA
Seriously, this is one sweet price for this car considering it has a suggested retail value on Kelly Blue Book, Nada, and Edmunds ranging from $26,000 to $28,500. Suggested Trading in price from $24,000 to $25,500. I got financing through my personal bank at an awsome deal to. I got 3.5% APR over 60 months, so it's great to have good credit when buying stuff. When the loan officer finalizing my purchase through the bank looked up the bank values for the vehicle based on the VIN, options, and mileage she did a double take at the screen and then the purchase order and couldn't believe I got it through a dealership!!!
It's mazda pre-owned certified. Carfax comes out clean as a whistle with only 1 previous owner. Still has 38 months or the remaineder of a 50,000 mile factory warranty.
So basically if I went with the lowest suggested retail price of this car at $26,000 and added TTL and then compared that to my price I'm saving around $6,000 (tax is 6.25% in texas on cars and title and liscence fees add up another $150 with state inspection).
So whatcha guys think?
Cliffs:
1) Geek gets new "used" car at cheapa$$ price after working over the dealerships
