In Oregon, employees can legally go home if their office building temperature rises above 73 degrees and the employer ha to pay them for the day's work anyway. Hope you guys have laws like that over there!

Well, this thread has reared it's interesting head again, and therefore merits my posting in it again.

I'm at Job #1 right now. Never made it to Job #2 last night? Why, you ask? Because the $500 Clifford alarm I had installed in my truck this past Saturday malfunctioned, not allowing me to start my vehicle last night at 1700.

Luckily, the alarm place was still open for business and I called them up and they sent the guy who installed it, out to repair it.

It turned out that the alarm brain was bad...not my problem though and after bitching out the manager, he agreed to credit my CC the $150 in labor they charged me to put it in.

I lost anywhere from $90-$130 last night (I work for tips) b/c I didn't go to work. I feel that the $150 returned to me is fair compensation for my trouble, don't you agree?

Considering I had to stand outside in 97-degree heat for 90 minutes...I should sue.

Anyway, I'm working Job #2 tonight. Hope I make some money; it's Father's Day this weekend and I have the boy...need money to do stuff, though. Have a good day/evening everybody!
