Please do not consider other parts, only between the given choices.
What would be "best" between ...
1) ASUS P5N32-E SLi
2) Intel D975XBX2
Price difference between the two above boards is $15 (CAN), Intel being the more expensive one.
1) Corsair Twin 2X 2048-6400C4 4-4-4-12
2) Kingston HyperX DDR2-800 2X 2048 4-4-4-12
The price difference between the two above memory is $30, Corsair being the move expensive one.
So, the price isn't much of a factor, what I need to know is why might I want to consider the more expensive choices ? Is there any significant features (or any known facts) that is giving them a reason to be more expensive ? Take the memory for example, does that Corsair memory model is known to use some better memory chips than Kingston's ? Etc.
But maybe even more importantly than the features is the compatibility question. Is that Corsair model compatible with that ASUS board model ? Is that Kingston one compatible with either ASUS or Intel boards ?
Just need suggestions perhaps based on facts/personal experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks.
