This is the first time in a long time i've laughed out loud. Thank Isla i really need that. Man laughin is good therapy. This is a beauty of the internet. The only thing that can really go wrong thouhg is that someone prints out this thread and shows it to the mister or worse daughter. Futhermore i have a 13 year old sister and i would not be supprised if your daughter actually knew what it was. She may not but kids nowaday's seem to be pretty enlightended. Anyway good luck. THis is what makes life fun.

Sorry dennil buit I'm pretty sure that's a model rocket. Although you could use it for that purpose, you probably would want to. If you look closely, there is a round tube on the left where it would attach to the guide pole. on the right you can see what appears to be a guiding fin. Then again i could be wrong as i'm not to familar with the contruction of such products.

Oh, and Vahalla, I can't help but use euphemisms when talking about such things. I may be a fiery Latina at heart but I was also raised in the genteel South... I'm supposed to act like a lady. 😛

I'm kind of surprised at myself for even starting this thread... I was so startled by the incident this afternoon that I felt compelled to share it with the AT family. If I made some people laugh, good! That's why I come here... to get a good laugh every day. 🙂
 
I found my mother's...massager...when I was under 10 (my timesense is horrible so I don't know exactly when). I didn't realize what it was until many years later and now I have this vomiting feeling when I remember. I don't recall if she knew I'd found it and said something or if I just put it back when I couldn't figure out what it was. It was under my parents bed but not in a box or anything, and I think when we played hide and seek in the house we used their room too, so it was a bad place to put that.

What's actually more surprising is that I didn't know what it was already by that time...but that's a whole other story.

BAD IDEA!!! As a kid, something with a lock on it just means it's even MORE interesting than something under the bed or in the closet drawer! Just find a good hiding spot. Stark is right, but there are certain places kids don't know about. For instance, you could hide it/them 🙂D) in an empty kleenex box or something in a linen closet.

I have a few stories like that of my own. My dad used to have this LARGE porn magazine collection, and there was no way he could ever hide it from me. He must've known I was always looking through it because he kept moving it from place to place. Another story, one time I stumbled into my sisters &quot;collection&quot; of (pre)-marital aids. Let's just say she had the kind that were anatomically correct. :Q

Yes, she did. She also wrote down the names of all of us who made fun of her and proclaimed that if she &quot;Ever caught any of us with a blow up 'mate' that we were never gonna live it down&quot; 😀

Konichiwa, my step-father didn't even attempt to hide the magazines, they were on the bedside table from the day they married to the day my mom forced him to get rid of them (I guess having to tell me repeatedly to not look at them got tiring for her :-D).
