Oh No Sega Say It Aint So

well thru sega terminology NAOMI 2 could be 256 bit

remember how they pushed Saturn to be 64 bit and even now the DreamCast to be 128 bit.

i seriously hope this is false, i all to badly remember the 32X......

They pushed the Saturn as 64-bit?

And if they tried doing that, they would call it 512-bit.

(edit: the Dreamcast 2 512-bit that is, not Saturn)

yeah they marketed the Saturn as 64 bit because it had dual 32 bit Hitachi CPU's in it that worked thru parallel

Well if they make the upgrade and it does turn the Dreamcast into a Naomi 2 then it will be as good as the other systems.

Basically, the Naomi 2 is just a normal Naomi with additions to its PowerVR 2 chip (T&L and hardware environmental mapping) and a bunch more RAM. It's performance is roughly 10 million polygons a second, which is well more than any PS2 game so far.

And its fully backwards compatible.
