Oh No! I just took DayQuil, does that mean I won't be able to sleep?

Active ingredients: Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Phenylephrine

Inactive ingredients: FD&C Red No.40, FD&C Yellow No.6, gelatin, glycerin, polyethylene glycol, povidone, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbitol special, titanium dioxide.

I took them this afternoon and felt real calm but not sleepy. I just took them again an hour ago, will I have problem falling asleep?

no.

it does not have anything to KEEP you awake.

The only thing NyQUIL has that DAYQUIL doesnt is Doxylamine succinate (6.25 mg/15mL) (antihistamine/hypnotic) ... which helps to put you to sleep.
 
why would it? it doesnt have any stimulants in it.

the only thing that makes nyquil make you sleepy is the doxylamine succinate. this ingredient is replaced with the phenylephrine in dayquil.

The other night I used the Kroger Allergy and it gave me really fuck-up dreams. So I am kinda paranoid now. I will never use cheapo private label again.
