I agree with this. My wife comments on how it's ok for boys to like red - I'm fine with that since my other 3.5yo son loves red everything (his twin loves blue so the contrast is good for them). CARS backpack - red. Jacket - red. Toy cars - red. Bike helmet - red. He says he's going to drive a red Mustang someday. All good. I draw the line at red pants and red crocs. She thinks it's ok. He's only 3.5 but still - over my dead body.

Verbally disagreeing with my wife enough times has led her to give in for many situations.

I could feasibly see the red pants...but are we talking about any type of pants that are red or something like red jeans?

I would agree on a formal pair of dress up pants being red or a pair of jeans...

wind pants, sweats, shorts...not so much...

My kids have red / blue / black crocs...and I personally don't see any issue with that...and they have never been mocked or picked on for such a thing...

Wind pants and other athletic-oriented clothes don't typically matter when it comes to color as long as it isn't pink. Some of the typical no-no colors (like purple) can be somewhat acceptable if they're fairly dark, but that's nigh impossible in regard to pink. For example... I think dark purple athletic shorts and a white shirt wouldn't welcome any heckling. I guess that helps since dark purple is sometimes used with colleges and has been used with royalty in the past.

lol, yes, they're fine for kids. Did I miss a kids-fashion-committee meeting or something?

Wanna know what's funny? My wife bought them Ugg snow boots when they were 1ish. She gets Bloomingdale gift cards for Christmas so they were free. They never walked on them - they were just really warm for them. If they wore that now at 3+, I'd tell her to take it back. At least at 1 nobody really cared.

Got those free. As in, they replaced my $100 pair of snowpants with a $400 pair of snow pants, without charging me the difference. Only thing is, they didn't have it in black. I decided to not look a gift horse in the mouth. And you know what? Those pants ROCK. Warm...comfy...durable...RECCO tag built in...

Life isn't black and white. You can't just draw lines.

Put that on with a red winter jacket and you're styling in athletic gear on a downhill slope. My hockey uniform is red too. It's all good. I was talking about everyday-wear.
