Oh my, did I void my Athlon XP warranty?

When I opened my processor box from newegg the fan's sticker (the one that came with the retail box) was way off center. The sticker was only about half on, so I took it off to recenter it. DOH, When I took it off, some of the ink from the sticker stayed on to produce the word "VOID" several times on the fan.

So, did I just void my 3 year warranty for my processor? I'm using it fine with no problems now, so I'm not planning on returning it, but if something goes wrong in the future, am I screwed?

Nope, but maybe any warranty (if there was one) for that fan/hs is gone.

Just make sure you keep the sticker or glue it back on or something. If you ever need an RMA from the manufacturer, they are going to want the serial # off the sticker.

Dont worry much about the warrenty. In 6 months that cpu will be selling for 60 bux:|

You got that right Jwyatt, and thanks for the advise all. I put the sticker back on and it's pretty much lined up. I'll cross my fingers that nothing goes wrong with my processor just in case.
