Did he say equally? No. He said like, as in having similar depth of emotion. All he was trying to express was that he had a deep sense of attachment to the animal.

Someone that has invested many years of their life caring for another anything, crocodile or not, is bound to be emotional when it dies.

It's not like it was just a random crocodile, it had a name like it was a pet. Like none of you ever cried over losing a pet.

yeah, but i would never love my dog like i love my girlfriend... that's pretty disgusting and i'm pretty sure it's against the law

Why are you equating love with a desire to copulate? At least that's what you're implying.

Hell, the crocodile was probably nice to him as well. My pug was a bastard and I was glad when he died.

that's terrible, but I guess it happens, I never had a bad dog before.

It's called "being passionate" and really giving a damn about something in life. He loved animals. I'm sure most of the people on this forum would break down if their precious porn collection was suddenly wiped out, or if their new LCD developed a new dead pixel.

I have a feeling that 1) She wasn't surprised to hear that, and 2) that's part of why she married him, knowing of his unconditional love for animals.

I agree. I see nothing wrong with what he did, he just loves animals more than any of us do, you need to understand he loved doing his job.

Besides, he was obviously very emotional when he said that. If he said the sky was pink I'd prolly let it slide instead of saying "OMG what an idiot!!LOLZLOLZLOLZ".

It wasn't his pet, it was a random crocodile that he named. If I walk back into the woods and start naming all the bugs and animals that I see, I should cry when they die, since they're now my pets?

How does that make sense. When you go to the pet store, it just happens to be some animal anyway that you name, take home and care for. Hence, pet.

That's a mature reply, thanks.
