Bending over in front of an Afghani is not the same as showing some respect for their belief system.

you should ask them if they are christians why do they hate gays when Jesus never said one word about being gay is a sin. that should fan the flames.

the apostle Paul did say that men who lie down with men and men kept for unnatural purposes will not inherit the kingdom of the heavens...

so that question is moot, my friend-- sorry.

Yeah, and not only was Paul not Jesus, but he was a royal douche bag.

Also, people he's just fvcking with interpreters. C'mon, lighten up.

I think Paul must have been gay. I mean really, a guy named Paul...speaking about men lying down with other men? Gay! Definitely gay!

I don't care if TallBill fvcks with interpreters. 😀

I really like messing with the locals who are muslim. I tell them about Jesus and they flip out "Allah has no son!", and I say.. "hehe, i'm kidding, God is just an imaginary friend for adults", and they really flip out.

Islam does acknowledge Jesus ('Isa in Arabic) as a prophet that preceded Muhammad; however, not as the son of god, as you stated.

Part of behaving in an adult manner is learning to be tolerant & respectful of others & their belief systems.

You're over there as an authority figure for our troops (you're an MP right?) and a representative of the US.

And you're disrespecting your fellow soldiers & the Afghani's by your actions and fvcking with stuff that they feel very strongly about and you're carrying a gun.

How is he disrespecting his fellow soldiers & the Afghanis by his actions? All he's done is post on ATOT about someone else babbling about jesus. I don't see that the two have anything to do with each other.

Your tax dollars at work.

Yeah, all 24 grand a year I make for being over here. Like I'm really making it rich off of the American people. Certainly I'm here for the money.

Your acting like I just committed a My Lai Massacre. If your so worried about your tax dollars, why dont you come over here and do better?

Your attitude reminds me of a snobby liberal waiter who thinks they don't get paid enough to have to actually provide proper customer service but gets pissed by any tip less than 20%.

If someone isn't capable of even discussing a religion other than their own it's no one's responsibility to walk on eggs around them. Bringing up the subject isn't disrespectful in the least.

Because he's talking about stuff that I dont believe. And I dont have any "views" to contest. I really just dont give a crap either way.
Unless you are among the indifferent and apathetic walking dead, everyone has views. Learning consists of the constant expansion, strengthening, and reinterpretation of the views, and that only occurs through having those views contested. Which is best done in friendly debates, or perhaps through the private study of books that offer contrasting opinions (i.e., NOT the same view as your own).

Regardless, you made it clear that you do have views through your attitude ("he's talking about stuff that I dont believe"). And obviously to the contrary of the opinions around you. That you fear contesting those views shows that your foundation for those views are weak, and are likely based on simple prejudice, like hating a book you've never read for example.

So if he participates he can assume he knows all about you, put you down and patronize you in a reply to this post? 😛

You're an idiot, whiel i agree with you. It's by far not the same over there. Walking into 16th century europe and talking about Muhammed would more correspond to the situation he's in. Or just go to alabama and talk about him.

Anyways, do people still believe in jesus? I mean, that an angel was sent from heaven, and then spiritually fvkced that woman, she got pregnant? To believe that you have to be goddamned stupid. I can completely understand why people living in tribal societies believe in god. But people living in america? Come on! Get your head out of your be-hind!

You need to do a few things:

1) Learn about religion, especially Christianity. You don't even understand the most basic beliefs.
2) Learn to better articulate your ideas without the ad hominem, cursing, etc. It makes you look not only immature, but ignorant.
3) Learn not to be so quick to dismiss the beliefs of others. The better you understand opposing beliefs the better you understand your own. Such intellectual obduracy is only an encumbrance to your growth.

Read more my friend, a lot more.
