when i went for interview for my new job, i asked about medical guy assured me its good benefit with aetna

now i am working there and accepted job got my application

its aetna out of state ppo coverage
eye exams not covered
Er visits without admission $75 plus 20%

I am quite use to 100% hospital coverage

i can only blame myself for not getting details before accepting the offer and bad thing i cant look for new job because i work m-f 8am to 5pm and wont have time to go to inteview and cant really call in sick during first few month

are ER visits a huge concern for you?

you shouldn't be spending more than $200 a year on eye exams / glasses / contacts so that isnt much at all

in 23 years i have had to go to th ER for myself 0 times

can't you buy coverage from 3rd parties rather than go through your employer's plans ? I would like more details on this...

I have never gone to the emergency room. What do they do? Get out a needle and thread and I do the same thing they do for .99 cents plus tax.
