This beauty sat on Craigslist with no offers for two months!

Media shelves aren't really deep enough to support a box this thick.

Came with all this for $160.

Displaces a few boxes. Hopefully I can find some way to make this work. Various Tetris tunes are looping in my head.

Still workin' on it.

I also got it with this

...and these for $90 from the same guy.

Paid the seller's asking price because I thought Ice Climber alone was worth $100 complete in-box (turns out it's missing the manual). A little checking around and I see that the super-minty Power Set is probably worth north of $200 (it's all about condition)! If you don't count the GBA and eReader releases (I don't) then I didn't have Ice Climber before so it saves me the trouble of dishing out way too much for that. It's particularly hard to find after Super Smash Bros Melee popularized the characters ~17 years after it went out of print (boosted demand+limited supply=spiked price).

A couple other manuals were missing but it's otherwise amazingly near-complete. I either already had some of those manuals or they are on the way, so I'm not disappointed AT ALL. Love it!

Nice find. A few years ago I offered to help a friend from work clean out his storage shed on the grounds that I get to keep whatever I find. He had a box tucked away in the back underneath a mattress filled with old NES stuff. After all was said and done (and all the spiders were ushered out of their home), I ended up with four NESs (three are in perfect working condition), two SNESs (both working), two N64s (working), two Gamecubes (working), and probably 30+ games and two controllers for every system. There was a nest of cords tangled worse than Christmas lights ever thought about being tangled, but once everything was undone, I was only missing two power cords.

He grew up in Mexico and just said "don't ask where I got them, they just ended up with us when we moved to the US". He did buy one of them off eBay and tried to fix it, but was unable to get it working and it's the only one out of the four that doesn't work properly. I always assumed he acquired them much in the same manner as how I have 12 original PS2s and lots of original XBOXs in my garage. I used to fix them for classmates when I was in high school and more times than not, they didn't want to pay me for fixing them or flat out told me to just keep it because they rarely used it anyways.

^ Did he say why he had 4 NESs?

What's weird about that? I have at least 10 in various states or repair/disrepair now, and I'd have 12 if I hadn't passed two on to Ichinisan's coworker within the last year. Picked up another today for $5! Are you saying that's not normal? ;)

Very nice set collection you have there. I've always been thinking about getting back into old gaming but I just don't have the room for a whole other old TV room unfortunately.
