My question would be why are we hiring people who had performance issues? What benefit does this bring besides “sticking it to the Libs”
 
LOL, Florida's almost like another country. I chuckled a few months ago when the governor declared pro wresting was an essential job.
 
Fortunately it isn't the actual police department who has done this. It's a police union. The county sheriff says he isn't on board with it. If these people want to relocate to Florida, they can join a union and have no job.

Probably better off looking for openings at their local McDonalds.

Heh. Re-opening the economy in the face of the pandemic throws seniors right under the bus. Little old ladies in walkers go thumpitty-thump. That will likely become readily apparent as we head into the election. Raging against absentee balloting won't win the GOP any votes, either.
 
That will make the lawsuits that much easier to win and much bigger verdicts for the plaintiffs' bar-all at the expense of the Florida taxpayers, not the bad cops.

And Gillum now appears to have been no prize unfortunately. That still was a horrible election, we foisted Rick "Skeletor" Scott on the rest of the nation. That dude should be in prison. Desantis is just a dingleberry clinging to Trump's butt.

Florida has a rep but I've lived elsewhere and there are yahoos everywhere. We have a lot of oldsters but not so many percentage-wise as you may think compared to many other states. There are a LOT of rural rednecks and that is why the entire state looks Red at voting time with little islands of blue--much like most other states.

I'd like to move once my kids are out of high school but mostly due to the weather. I like the cold more than the heat and that is going to get worse and worse. Hurricanes lately have had a high pucker factor as well and that will be getting worse for the same reason as the heat.

Florida elections always seem razor tight and I have to wonder about a couple things this fall. One, will Puerto Ricans that have come to our area after Maria remember the treatment they got by President dipshit? Two, how many ex-cons with felonies will be voting and of course, how will they vote? We the people here passed an amendment saying they should be able to vote, then the GOP state government started assessing arbitrary and bullshit "fees" that needed to be repaid before they could vote. In many cases the people will NEVER be able to pay off the fees due to how high they are.

Pay the girlfriend's father a barfine/ sinsod everytime she goes back home?

Yeah there are good things but those things get on your nerves after a while. Atleast the cops don't try to kill as much as exploit.

He was in questionable company for sure, and might or might not have a substance issue, I think his chances of winning an election going forward are slim. We also don't know the effect of almost winning a race everyone said he had no chance of, could be a depression issue. Had he won, there might not have been any problems, we don't know. One thing we DO know is the last 2-term GOP governor ran a health care company that had to repay a record $1.4 BILLION back to the government for false "ghost" charges to medicare, oh, he did Jack-shit for the working people, installed an unemployment system that specialized in getting people frustrated enough they gave up.

lol, when we would visit my gf's mom I gave her $1k baht, and her two little cousins $100 baht each.

Not a big deal, but I did feel like an ATM machine from time to time.
